Are you planning to pursue your career in MS in the US? One of the process that comes during preparation is during  preparing for MS in the US is the process of profile evaluation.

Finding the correct school/university based on their GRE ranking, GPA, and TOEFL is a popular difficulty that occurs to  students who are trying to do masters abroad. It is somewhat tedious and time consuming process for international students who choose to obtain MS at U.S. colleges to translate their grades to as per U.S. requirements.

Let’s get to know about the entire process of profile evaluation for MS in the US in detail:

Profile Evaluation for MS is a methodology where the score of a candidate is considered for which college he might get admission in.

GRE / TOEFL / IELTS ratings, learning level, work experience, Extracurricular experiences such as regional and international paper delivery are the key considerations that colleges recognize from your profile when making choices on your application.

Some divisions prefer the proportion of undergraduates to the GRE / TOEFL scores, and some others assign higher priority to research than to academics. Top universities give preference to research papers, work, publications along with academic merit.

Universities can be categorized mainly into these four sections:

Ambitious: Top U.S. colleges with higher eligibility criteria. These are the most difficult ones based on your profile and and university acceptance statistics.

Medium: These US colleges wouldn’t be very challenging to get entry based on university intake figures and the GRE scores and GPA ratings.

Easy/Safe: Entry to these US universities is relatively easier as compared to others.

No Minimum Score: there are few universities with a minimum of GRE scores that have not been listed. Based on the test kit, grades, GPA, job experience, extracurricular activity, acceptance is determined.

–

What can a student improve ?
Universities look at the entire application that contains the ratings, SOP (Purpose Statement) / Essay, and extra curriculum. In another field, a poor score may be balanced by a strong overall profile, multiple factors matter.  So, don’t be disheartened if your dream school comes under a medium band, and if you have a low quantitative ranking.

If you can compose a clear Statement of Intent and clarify why you believe you will attend this institution, you can improve your chances of being selected, Acceptance rate is another significant criteria here.
