In a world where saturation has increased in almost every field, including business, one cannot expect to grab an opportunity with the standard skillset and essential qualification. To compete with the rapid change in market trends and competition, one has to upgrade and sharpen their skills and qualifications constantly. With a factual determination and ambition towards my career goals, I have decided to pursue an MBA program in Operations Management at your prestigious college. To streamline my profile, this progressive academic environment will help me.

I am from an engineering background with work experience of three years. The three years’ work experience has given me many opportunities to learn and grow my knowledge and skills with the help of exposure I received in the domain of business. My father is a businessman, and I have been helping him since I was in high school. My father has always dreamt of me taking over the complete control of his business and running it successfully. Behind my significant interest in business and management, I owe my background. Now I am confident that I have the required capabilities to run a successful business or organization. I have always been determined towards the goals I set for myself and never hesitate to face the endeavors in the way.

My favorite subjects were economics and business studies when I was in school. The core reason behind this was my interest and participation in my father’s business. I passed my higher secondary with good grades, and I secured the fourth rank in my school with a 9.4 CGPA. After completing school, I applied my application for admission in engineering. With the help of my good grades in academics and exemplary performance in entrances, I got access to Delhi Technical University. DTU is one of the top-ranked universities of India in terms of Engineering. The stream I opted in my engineering was Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Throughout my engineering, I derived a vast knowledge of technology.

I also gained significant knowledge with the help of various workshops, internships, academic projects, and much more, and I never missed a chance to participate in such activities. Apart from academics, I also have been a very active student in extracurricular activities. I got various opportunities to embrace my skills and potentials by performing significantly as an event organizer, event coordinator, and more. Even I have been a part of multiple social awareness drives like ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ as a volunteer. These participations have helped me grow as a person and polish my interpersonal and communication skills.

After my bachelor’s, I started my professional journey. I got campus placement in the last semester of my engineering. I got placed in one of the well-established MNC in Delhi. I joined the company as a Site Coordinator. My job responsibilities included:

  • Coordination with the contractors on-site.
  • Keeping track of the project’s progress.
  • Keeping a check on the materials and workflow.
  • Interacting with architects and structural engineers for better solutions.

I served the respective job for the tenure of three years. However, later on, I realized that I have much more potential to grow and contribute to operations management. I immediately decided to pursue a master’s degree in the relevant domain, and I felt that an MBA degree would surely upgrade my profile. The MBA program in operations management will surely boost my leadership qualities, and managerial abilities will allow me to rise in the professional hierarchy. I am already aware of the working environment and culture within a company, so this will work as a cherry on the cake for accomplishing my career goals when I complete my MBA program.

While searching for the best college as per my requirements, I came across your esteemed college, and the records in academic excellence impressed me a lot.
