When I was at an early age, I figured out that the number of questions I had was very much compared to the answers I had in terms of life and living things. With time, I slowly started taking a significant interest in biology and tried finding the answers to the questions in my mind related to the field. Within my schooling, I was able to find the answers to my early age questions. However, with time when I grew, my curiosity to learn and enhance my knowledge of the respective field increased. I wanted to know and learn more about the origin, structure, growth, and functioning of a living organism. Eventually, this significant interest led me to choose my major in biology just after school. I pursued a Bachelor of Science with biology as my major. However, even in my bachelor, I didn’t have a specific career plan in my mind.

In my school, I was always on the list of top rankers. I passed my intermediate with good grades and secured the second rank in my school. In my intermediate, I scored 9.6 CGPA. After completing school, I had to choose a college for my bachelor degree, which I wanted to pursue with biology as my major. Due to good grades in my intermediate, I got on the merit list in one of the top-ranked universities of India, Delhi University. During my bachelors, I was very active in academics and extracurricular activities.

In the first year under graduation, I focused more on academics and ranked 7 in my college. In the second year of my bachelor, I attended the Lebanese Red Cross first aid training session. Along with this, I also became part of Jounieh’s volunteer Red Cross Emergency Medical Services. I have been serving 72 hours of my duty every month. This has been a challenging yet a way of learning more and more about the public health domain. This training has also developed excellent interpersonal skills in my personality. Also, I was assigned as the leader of my team. This helped me develop good leadership and communication skills too. While part of Jounieh’s volunteer Red Cross Emergency Medical Services, I created significant interest in the public health domain. With time, I realized that I would be a perfect fit for the valuable contribution in public health with all my knowledge and experience.

When I reached my last year of bachelor’s degree, I dealt with over three hundred emergency calls every month, which helped me develop optimized time management skills. I was limited to rescue operations and conducted various social activities like awareness drives, first-aid posts, educational conferences, and much more in the previous year. These activities helped me build public speaking skills in my personality. While rescuing patients and transporting them in the ambulances, I recognized the core reasons behind maximum lousy health conditions—the lack of awareness in essential health and the restrictions to best medical facilities in rural areas.

After attending a meeting held by the Faculty of Health Sciences at DU, I recognized that I have the potential and required skills to make a career in public health when combining my academic performance. I realized that my powerful performances in academics had given me solid theoretical knowledge in subjects like biology and, along with the practical experiences I have gained at various events, into the domain of public health.

I have decided to pursue my master’s degree in public health as a major. While researching the best university suitable for my masters per my requirements, I came across your esteemed university. I got attracted to the top-notch education provided by your university at the global level. Your respected university has the best infrastructure and highly experienced and skilled faculties. I want to pursue my master degree in Public Health, and further, I want to research and implement intervention policies. My main motive is to provide the masses with direct access to health care and knowledge.

I am confident that I have the potential and required knowledge and skills to pursue this degree and make a career in the domain of public health. I am looking forward to this association of mine with your prestigious university to accept my candidature for the applied course.
