Being a kid, I spent all my leisure time with the only computer in my family. I used to play games initially but developed an interest in different fields related to computer science. As I grew up, I started witnessing the advancement taking place in the domain of computer science. After high school, I choose computers as my major subject. In my 12th standard, I started exploring various specializations that were related to the field of computer science. I was fascinated with almost all these specializations that included artificial intelligence, data science, cyber security, big data etc. the one specialization which fascinated me the most was artificial intelligence. This was the first time when I came across artificial intelligence. This was the field in which I saw my fit and the potential it tends to have. The most difficult thing about AI as it wasn’t easy to ignore the advancement the rate of growth it has. With time I developed a keen interest in the field of artificial intelligence. Throughout my schooling, I was good at academics. I scored 9.4 out of 10 in my high school and 9.2 out of 10 in my intermediate.
After completing my schooling, I appeared for my entrance exam for under graduation with Computer Science- Artificial Intelligence as my major. I scored in the top 5% of the total number of candidates who appeared for the entrance exam. Candidates from all over India appeared for the entrance exam. I was allotted a very well-known college for computer science because of my score in the entrance exam. I was very excited about my under graduation as I got my subject of interest to study and that too in a very good college. In the first year, I performed well in my academics continued with my 2nd, 3rd, and 4rth years. In the 2nd year, I worked on a project that involved “Generation of Vector Machine Algorithm”. This project involved the evolving of neural networks to multi-format image processing. I also got the opportunity to work on various research projects in Machine Learning, Big Data Computation, Numerical Applications, Network Optimization and Discrete Logic. Slowly and steadily, I was enhancing my horizon and advancing my knowledge in the field of computer science, especially in Artificial Intelligence.
In the 3rd year of my under graduation, I got a golden opportunity to do an internship in TCS. My internship role revolved around my specialization that was Artificial Intelligence. During this internship of 3 months, I learned a lot of insights and tit-bits of artificial intelligence. This internship was not unpaid; instead, it offered me a stipend of 15K INR/month, almost $200 every month. I worked on a different technology under the guidance of my seniors. After my internship, I again focused on researches related to several neural network algorithms. Not just this, but I also drafted and developed an architecture that helped in learning those algorithms more easily and quickly.
The other project I worked on in my final year was the “Extra-Curricular Automated Systems Research Project”. This project was for building deep learning distributed architecture. This required extremely modest networking. With the help of this, it was possible to reduce the load and processing time on each node. To boost the overall system performance, I investigated node specialization. Apart from my academics, I was also a very active student in extra-curricular activities. I have conducted and organized various workshops and events based on artificial intelligence. Into sports, I am a national level footballer. I have represented my school and college as the football team captain and have won several awards.
In my last semester of bachelor, I got campus placement in ABC systems as QPR. I was assigned the job of working on multi-agent automated distribution systems. Along with this, advanced error handling at ABC systems. I worked here for a year, and during this period, I learned a lot about the domain. But later on, I also came to know that I had much more potential and decided to pursue a master in artificial intelligence. I truly believe that I haven’t yet unleashed my best potential. After my graduation, I will devote myself to researches in the respective domain.
