Few professions are demanding and exciting in today’s time. Fashion designing is one of these professions. Designing outfits and styling them has been one of my favorite activities. I have been helping my friends and family to design and style their outfits from early teenage. Not just for the sake of but have received a lot of appreciation and compliments for my understanding and taste in fashion design. Talking about my primary stage of education, I have been passionate about drawing and sketching. This passion also motivated me and pushed me towards fashion design.
The country in which I live has rich cultural diversity. This diversity can be witnessed in fashion. Not just this, but India can be called a “Center for Fashion.” We can call this because of the varieties of dresses from Indian to western, presented with a fusion of multiple shades. Globally, India has made its important name in the field of fashion. India is emerging as one of the major players in the world of fashion. My biggest aspiration is to become a globally known fashion designer. Later on, I also aspire to start my brand. However, I am well aware of the fact that it isn’t easy to reach this milestone. I have already completed my undergraduate degree in fashion designing as my major. To gain global knowledge and experience of the world stage in fashion culture and fashion designing, I have decided to pursue a master’s degree in the respective domain.
In my academics, I was always on the toppers list. When I was in 10th grade, I was from ICSE Board, and I scored 90%. Later on, I did my intermediate from the same school as humanities, my major. In 12th also scored significant grades. I scored 93% and secured the second rank in the entire school. During my 12th standard, I also participated in a short-term course that was oriented toward fashion designing. This course was offered by “Lal Bahadur Shastri Training Institute.” Ultimately this course helped me know little tit-bits of fashion designing and helped me develop my required skills.
After completing my schooling, I took admission to one of the most prestigious colleges in India for Fashion designing aspirants. Yes, I was admitted to the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Delhi. I took the entrance exam for admission in the respective college and scored among the top 5% of the total candidates who appeared in the exam. This was a massive achievement for a person hailing from a suburb of a small town. Also, with very limited recourses and exposure, this performance was fulfilling for me. Throughout my under graduation, I took part in various events and competitions. These helped me a lot to learn more and more about fashion designing as a domain. I believe that a true fashion designer must know every bit of garment combination of line proportion, texture, color, etc. I am confident that I have been in the process of learning these crucial aspects of fashion designing.
In my bachelor’s degree, I designed a lot of clothes and accessories related to it. My favorite part is the process and the creativity that goes from creating a design to choosing a fabric to design the final product. My biggest aspiration is to make people wear clothes designed by me.
In today’s time, the fashion designing domain has no boundaries regardless of country or continent. Youngsters are looking forward to mastering the skill of fashion designing even by crossing continents. Being one of these creative youngsters, I also have decided to pursue my master’s in fashion designing. In search of new opportunities, methodology, creativity, sensibility, I have decided to pursue my master’s in fashion designing from your prestigious college. By following an MA in fashion designing from your esteemed college, I will learn and develop my skills and aptitude in fashion designing at a global level. This will eventually help me create a concrete career path for myself into fashion designing. Once I graduate into the respective domain, I have decided to contribute to the environment with the best of my knowledge, skills, and experience.
